We provide the HNDC community with expert consultation and collaboration on all biostatistical aspects of biomedical research applicable to Alzheimer’s disease. We provide support for unfunded research activities, such as grant preparation, study design and analysis of pilot data. We also supplement funded efforts with long term collaboration for leadership of Biostatistics Cores on large projects, development of new statistical methods and comprehensive data analysis. The International MS Genetics Consortium (IMSGC) was formed in 2003 with the aim of adopting a more collaborative approach to the challenge of identifying all the inherited risk factors for MS. The IMSGC uses large-scale whole genome association studies to identify the genes that play a part in the development and progression of multiple sclerosis. The HNDC coordinates the IMSGC activities.
